Jewelry holds so many memorable stories. If we are fortunate, we get to hear them as pieces are passed from generation to generation. Our goal, and an invitation that we will never take for granted, is to make the jewelry that is part of your story.
Our Asheville area jewelry store is unique. Andy likes to call us a manufacturing jewelry store because we can make a piece of jewelry from the picture you have on your phone, to sketch, CAD, render, cast, and complete. We have done this in 24 hours. Ideally, we would like a little more time! But, as a general rule, we can have a piece made in 2 weeks from final approval.
Design consults are in person or through Zoom for your convenience.
How It Works
MAKING HANDMADE JEWELRY EASY
Inspiration can come from many places: your favorite color, favorite flower, family jewelry, and more. During the initial meeting, we like to talk about all the aspects you envision in the special piece we are creating. If we are upcycling pieces that you already have, we can talk about the best way to use them as they are or add to them to complete the design you have in mind. Our talented team will sketch a few options based on what you shared. Once the sketch is approved our CAD team jumps in!
Step 1: Render It
Taking the details from the sketch and putting them into CAD is where the piece really starts to come to life. The team adds all the special touches that make your piece unique to you, and then they render it to show what it will look like in color!
Step 2: Wax Review & Sizing
Once you approve the CAD rendering, the file is sent to print so that you can see it in wax. In this step, sometimes, we can gently set the actual stones we will be using so that you can get the best vision of the finished piece. Seeing the piece in wax allows you to see the size and feel the fit.
Step 3: See it Shine
After you approve the wax, it gets really busy! From this point, the CAD file and wax are used to complete the final product in several more steps, including investing and casting. If you could see the raw metal casting, you might wonder if we know what we are doing! Just wait...polishing, more polishing, setting stones, more polishing, a laser may be involved, and then the piece you imagined comes to life! We love making the calls to say that your custom, designed by you, job is complete.
Custom Engagement Rings
We love working to create custom pieces, but engagement rings are always so much fun! What better way to share YOUR story than a ring you designed to tell it? You’ll influence each part of our easy process to make a custom ring that truly is your ring, but you can be involved as much or as little as you want during the process. Our design team will guide you through the process as you discuss the stones, materials, and metals to use. Once you agree on a concept, we’ll create a blueprint and render the design in our CAD software. The whole process will stay in-house from beginning to end. Our goal has always been to maximize everyone's budget and make something that will last for generations! Making such an important purchase can be intimidating; our team is available to help you select the stones to decide on design elements, all with the goal of making the experience another beautiful part of your story!
